ORC Measurement seminar in Gdansk!

In preparation for the ORC European Championship Gdańsk 2017, ORC and the Pomeranian Sailing Association is offering a two-day comprehensive Measurement Seminar to be held in Gdansk, Poland over Saturday and Sunday, April 8-9, 2017, with an introduction presentation on the ORC system made on Friday, April 7.

Both events are being held at the Hotel Galion in Gdańsk and will be led by ORC Chief Measurer Nicola Sironi and ORC Chief Rating Officer Zoran Grubisa. All interested measurers, race committee members and sailors are invited to attend to learn more about the ORC rating system’s topics on measurement procedures, data analysis, certificate processing, and race management, both in theory and in practice.

09:30 Measurement – Part 1 – Hull, appendages, propeller, rig, sails – Theory
13:00 Lunch
14:00 Measurement – Part 1 – Hull, appendages, propeller, rig, sails – Practice
18:00 Expected end
19:00 Dinner for all participants

Sunday, 9th April
09:30 Measurement – Part 2 – Inclining and stability
Short theoretical part followed by practical in water measurements
13:00 Lunch
14:00 Analysis of results and processing certificates,
Scoring options and Race management
18:00 Expected end
